Boston University Radiology Associates (Boston Medical Center) – Academic Breast Imaging Radiologist
Boston Medical Center (BMC) Department of Radiology is accepting applications from individuals interested in joining our well-established section of Breast Imaging. Candidates must be ABR-eligible or ABR-certified. Fellowship training in Breast Imaging required.
Candidates must be comfortable with interpreting screening and diagnostic mammography, including digital breast tomosynthesis, as well as breast ultrasound, and breast MRI. Experience with contrast mammography and cryoablation is highly desired. Physicians will be expected to perform stereotactic/tomosynthesis, ultrasound and MRI guided biopsies as well as needle and seed localizations. Informatics and research background are valued.
Boston University Radiology Associates, a group of 50 Radiologists, was established in 1915 and provides full-service diagnostic, nuclear, and interventional radiology. The section of Breast Imaging is a growing team of 8 Radiologists with diverse backgrounds and interests, dedicated to fostering a positive workplace culture built on mutual respect, trust, and open communication. The Breast Imaging section provides patient-centered, quality, efficient, exceptional care without exception to the patients at BMC and integrated Community Health Centers. The team is integrated and co-located with multidisciplinary breast health providers in the Belkin Breast Clinic, working alongside navigators, women’s health primary care physicians, breast surgical oncologists, pathologists and medical and radiation oncologists to provide comprehensive breast care.

The Breast Imaging section performs approximately 40,000 studies a year.
The Department of Radiology accepts 10 residents per year, and the Breast Imaging section is very active in resident education. The Breast Imaging section also accepts one Breast Fellowship per year. All applicants must be committed to providing exceptional clinical care and to education. Candidates from diverse backgrounds and those with research interests are especially encouraged to apply.
The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and departmental budget. The above hiring range represents a good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
BU conducts a background check on all final candidates for certain faculty and staff positions.
