Primary Role: The Assistant Director of Operation is responsible for the daily operations of the museum facility and the systems and services that support it, as well as planning for preventative measures to ensure its smooth operation.

The Assistant Director of Operations reports to the Director of Finance and Operations, and is a full time, exempt position with an annualized salary of $58,000-$62,000, DOE. Responsibilities:
Subject matter expert on facility operations and systems such as: security, HVAC, electrical, etc. With Director, define or update all Museum operating procedures. Maintain Operations Manual for museum operations, Keep crisis plan up to date and test periodically. Work to ensure all visitor amenities and business tools are available. With Director, create and manage facility operations, administrative support staff, facility rentals, and museum vehicle budgets Ensure the proper working order of the museum building and its components including technology and, with Exhibits Manager, exhibits components. Supervise Facility Manager and Maintenance Technician Responsible for oversight of facility operations vendors Responsible for maintaining adequate stock for all museum supplies including office supplies, janitorial supplies, paper products, hardware, fixtures etc. Responsible for safety and security at the museum. Provide thought partnership for decision making for all operations related functions Present a positive, energetic demeanor externally to members, guests and the community and internally to staff Other duties, related to your role, as assigned

Requirements
Associates Degree in business, project management, related field OR equivalent work experience
Experience:
A minimum of 4 - 6 years’ experience in operations and management
