Responsibilities: 

We are seeking a licensed attorney eligible to practice law with 1-3 years of experience for a full-time Associate position at our New Orleans office. The attorney would represent clients throughout the state of Louisiana- including Houma, Baton Rouge, Metairie, Lafayette, and Shreveport. The attorney would be responsible for independently handling a large docket of cases. The position requires drafting legal memoranda, briefs, and other correspondence for matters at the administrative, appeals council, and federal court levels, as well as summarizing voluminous medical records in preparation for attending hearings before an SSA Administrative Law Judge. In addition, the attorney would conduct initial consultations with prospective clients. The attorney must have exceptional organizational, time management, and legal writing skills, and will occasionally be required to travel throughout the state to attend hearings. Attorneys with a background in Veterans Benefits litigation are strongly encouraged to apply.
