Overview

Nestled in the hills of Lower Saucon, Pennsylvania, this 18-hole facility offers beauty and style. A Donald Ross design, the club has hosted multiple USGA qualifiers and Philadelphia PGA Section events. in 1946, the Bethlehem Steel Club obtained property adjacent to their existing clubhouse location and hired world-renowned course architect, Donald Ross. The course was opened in 1948 as a par 71 and was one of the very last that Ross has a personal hand in designing. In 1958 a second tract of land was purchased, and an additional 9 holes were built.

At the start of 1986, the club entered the second phase of existence when it was officially named Silver Creek Country Club. It became a member owned facility and operated as a private non-profit corporation under the management of the members.

In 2018, a group of private investors acquired Silver Creek and rebranded it as the Steel Club. Under the new, private ownership, many innovative developments have been completed or are underway.

Experience Required

Preferred candidate would be a Senior looking for a 7/8 month internship, Dates flexible-March/April-Ocober/November.

Essential Responsibilities

All duties are included in the job but not limited to:

• Assist with daily Golf Shop and Outside Operations
• Check-in members and guests
• Provide excellent customer service to members and their guests
• Merchandising and inventory management
• Promote the game through playing and teaching
