Nonfiction Acquisitions Intern
If you’ve ever walked through the aisles of a bookstore and wondered, “Wow, what a great book title!” or “What a perfect idea for a book!” you may be interested in a career in acquisitions.
The Tyndale nonfiction acquisitions team is seeking an intern for the summer of 2026 who is passionate about shaping Christian conversation and helping steward projects to meet the spiritual needs of readers. Being an editor isn’t limited to grammar and spelling corrections—in acquisitions, you’ll spend time seeking out new ideas and partnering with authors to craft those ideas into books with lasting impact. If you’re gifted with strong communication and presentation skills, enjoy creative problem solving and decision making, and are adept at managing details (big and small!) to create a finished product, this role may be for you.
This position provides an exciting opportunity to learn about each stage of the publishing process—from proposal evaluation to launch day. You’ll join the nonfiction team in interfacing with authors and other Tyndale departments to contribute to each aspect of a book’s creation, including the drafting of intriguing product descriptions, design briefs, and developmental feedback on forthcoming manuscripts. In Acquisitions, every day is different—and every day of your internship will present another opportunity to gain industry knowledge and invaluable exposure to this important (and often unseen!) part of the publishing process.
