Description
Houston Methodist is seeking experienced audit professionals—an Internal Audit Specialist and a Senior Internal Auditor—to join our Internal Audit team and contribute to our mission of unparalleled excellence in healthcare. These roles are essential in supporting organizational integrity, compliance, and operational effectiveness, and they reflect Houston Methodist’s commitment to excellence and continuous improvement.
The Internal Audit Specialist position requires a minimum of six years of experience in internal auditing, accounting, public accounting, or healthcare operations. Experience at a senior level is preferred. This role offers the opportunity to lead complex audits, oversee audit teams, and contribute to departmental standards and training. It is a level above the Senior Internal Auditor role and provides additional growth opportunities.
This is a hybrid position, beginning with a few days per week in the office and transitioning to a more remote schedule, with occasional in-office days. Our office is located just outside the Texas Medical Center. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package.
Our Internal Audit department consists of 10 professionals who deliver quantifiable, value-added assurance and consulting services through independent assessments of organizational risks and controls. The department has a strong track record of professional and career development—several team members have advanced into management and operational roles within Houston Methodist.
