Gastroenterology Locums Physician - Southeast Texas

Ongoing GI coverage opportunity in Texas with block scheduling, high earning potential, and routine procedures.

Highlights:

• Only 1-2 weeks per month - choose the blocks that fit your calendar
• Mix of inpatient consults and outpatient clinic
• Bread-and-butter procedures only - no advanced cases required

Practice Setting:

• Community hospital in southeastern Texas
• Support team includes 2 APPs, 1 MA, and 2 admins
• Primarily General GI: new consults, follow-ups, and scoping
• Fully staffed and equipped for locum support

Schedule:

• Monday-Thursday: 8a-5p; Friday: 8a-12p
• Mix of procedure and clinic days
• Dates available now through end of year - schedule ongoing
• Minimal callback volume with ~3 daily consults

Cases and Procedures:

• EGD and Colonoscopy required
• Flexible sigmoidoscopy and liver biopsy preferred
• 10-20 patient encounters daily
• No ERCP or EUS required

Requirements:

• Board Certified in Gastroenterology
• Active Texas license or IMLC
• ACLS, BLS, and ATLS required

Travel Accommodations:
