- Employee Relations Coordinator
Description
The purpose of this position is to provide support to the City of Wichita Falls’ employee relations functions, with a focus on employee training and development, as well as employee engagement programs. This position will work directly with all levels of the organization while collaborating closely with HR leadership to foster a positive work environment. The ideal candidate will have strong communication, presentation, conflict resolution, and organizational skills, along with the ability to support and improve employee relations programs that enhance the employee experience.
1 L Regular and reliable attendance in compliance with given schedules is a mandatory requirement of this position. Schedules may be subject to change with or without advance notice
2 L Partner with department leaders to identify training needs and address skill gaps related to employee relations topics, design, develop, and implement employee training programs focused on enhancing employee relations, conflict resolution, communication skills, and compliance with company policies.
3 L Lead and coordinate employee engagement initiatives, including surveys, focus groups, and team-building activities, as well as analyze employee feedback to develop actionable insights and recommend improvements to enhance employee satisfaction, morale, and retention.
4 L Develop, deliver, and document training sessions and workshops on employee engagement, ethics, and workplace conduct to enhance organizational culture, as well as develop ad hoc training for work groups based on their needs.
5 L Act as a resource for employees and managers, answering questions related to employee relations matters and guiding managers and employees on interpreting and applying policies to ensure consistency and fairness in employee treatment.
6 M Other related duties as assigned to include special project work, Civil Service Testing, and occasional evening/weekend work. Provides on-call assistance for Risk (approx. every 6 weeks).
Requirements

Experience-Related Requirements Over four years and up to and including eight years.
Vocational/ Educational Preparation Requires a Bachelor's degree or education and training equivalent to four years of college education in business, liberal arts, or any field other than engineering or the hard sciences.
LICENSING REQUIREMENTS:
Driver’s License Required – Y
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
None
Certification in HR or Employee Relations (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR, or equivalent) is a plus.
Bilingual a plus.
