Job Summary | The Colonial Dames intern will arrange and describe the Jefferson family papers. The materials concern the family of Peter Field Jefferson and comprise primarily correspondence, as well as memorabilia, books, ledgers, photographs, and realia. Upon completion of the project, the intern will give a presentation on the papers to the Lexington chapter of the National Society of the Colonial Dames of America. |
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities | Attention to detail, legible printing, filing, research, and writing skills. The student should have the ability to follow department procedures and policies and to work without close supervision. It is expected that the student assistant will maintain a regular work schedule. |
