Job Description:Tenacious go-getter. Results-driven performer. Remote job lover. Sound like you? Then Momentive Software is for you.
Momentive Software is hiring an Account Executive to play a critical role in driving the growth our proprietary PathLMS platform. The ideal candidate has a hunter mentality, and the ability to prospect and close complex new business deals with organizations that have sophisticated learning needs. More importantly, we are looking for a high performer with a proven track record meeting or exceeding quota. And while hitting the numbers is critical, we are also looking for a candidate who is smart, humble, driven, and a team player.
A Day In the Life
- Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation and qualification through discovery, demonstration, negotiation, and deal close, ensuring smooth transition to the customer operations team.
- Prospect, identify, and develop new business opportunities through a mix of outbound efforts, marketing-generated leads, and industry networking.
- Conduct detailed discovery meetings with prospective clients to understand their needs and challenges.
- Deliver compelling product demonstrations and tailored presentations (onsite or remote) in partnership with sales engineers.
- Clearly articulate the company's value proposition, product strengths, and competitive advantage within the LMS and SaaS marketplace.
- Develop and execute account and territory strategies to drive revenue growth, expand market share, and achieve assigned quotas and KPIs.
- Prepare proposals and negotiate contracts that align with both client requirements and company objectives.
- Maintain accurate sales activity, forecasting, and pipeline management in Salesforce and Salesloft.
- Provide timely reporting and sales forecasts to management.
- Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, product, and services) to refine messaging, support client needs, and enhance offerings.
- Stay current on industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions, and communicate insights to leadership.
- Represent the company at industry conferences and trade shows to build relationships and identify new opportunities.
- Nurture strong, long-term relationships with clients, consultants, and industry partners to support retention and growth.
- Adhere to company policies and demonstrate a commitment to delivering an excellent client experience.
- Travel up to 25%, as needed, to meet with clients, attend events, and support business development.
- Other duties as assigned.
We are looking for someone who brings
Experience
- 3+ years of full-cycle B2B SaaS sales experience with a proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding quota
- Experience selling SaaS solutions and negotiating complex contract terms
- Strong background in value-based, consultative selling to executives (C-level, Board of Directors) and large organizations; association industry experience is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to manage long sales cycles (3+ months) and maintain a large, active pipeline
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively across teams
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Technical/Computer Skills
- Experience with Salesforce.com (or similar CRM)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Other Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Strong organizational, time-management, and follow-up skills with attention to detail
- Motivated, goal-oriented, and relationship-driven, with a consultative sales philosophy and client-first mindset
